How are Multi-Channel Fulfilment (MCF) orders handled?
Learn how MCF orders are treated in MerchantSpring and whether they appear in Channel Overview, Channel Profit, or P&L reports.
Multi-Channel Fulfilment (MCF) orders are partially represented in MerchantSpring, but they are not included in all reports in the same way as standard Amazon orders.
Are MCF Orders Included in Sales Reporting?
No — MCF orders are not included in sales or order performance reports, including:
- Channel Overview
- Sales reporting
This is because:
- Amazon’s API does not provide a reliable sales price for MCF orders
- Without accurate revenue data, these orders cannot be included in sales metrics
Are MCF Orders Included in Profit Reporting?
Partially — MCF-related fees are included, but not the full order data.
- MCF fees are captured and shown in:
- Profit & Loss (P&L) reporting
- Channel Profit (as part of overall costs)
- These fees are:
- Treated as expenses at the store level
- Included alongside standard fulfilment fees
Are MCF Fees Broken Out Separately?
Currently, no:
- MCF fees are grouped together with standard FBA fulfilment fees
- They are not split out into a separate category
This means:
- You cannot easily isolate MCF-specific costs within reports
- They appear blended into overall fulfilment expenses
Why This Approach Is Used
This behaviour is driven by limitations in Amazon’s data:
- No reliable order-level revenue data for MCF
- Financial data is only available at a fee/expense level
- MerchantSpring reflects the structure of available API data
What This Means for You
- MCF activity will impact costs, but not revenue or sales metrics
- Profitability analysis may include MCF fees without associated sales
- MCF performance cannot currently be analysed as a standalone channel
