How can I make MerchantSpring MCP results more reliable?

Give the AI application enough detail to select the correct MerchantSpring tool and construct an accurate request.

Broad prompts require the AI application to make assumptions about your intended metric, period, filters and output. A more specific prompt reduces the chance of the wrong tool or parameters being selected.

What should a strong prompt include?
  • The MerchantSpring connector by name
  • The metric, report or business question
  • Channels, marketplaces or countries to include
  • A clear start and end date
  • The required interval, such as daily, weekly or monthly
  • Any product, channel or marketplace filters
  • The comparison period, if required
  • The preferred output, such as a table, summary or chart
Prompt template

Using the MerchantSpring connector, retrieve [metric/report] for [channels/marketplaces] covering [date range], grouped by [interval] and filtered by [criteria]. Compare it with [comparison period] and return [format]. State any assumptions before running the tools.

Example

Using MerchantSpring, show weekly sales for all connected Amazon US channels from 1-31 July 2026, compare the result with June 2026, and return a table plus three key observations.

Before relying on the result

Review the selected period, filters and assumptions. For a high-impact or recurring workflow, validate the output and consider a direct API implementation.
