How do I reconnect Amazon Advertising data in MerchantSpring?
Learn how to reconnect Amazon Advertising accounts in MerchantSpring to restore campaign reporting and performance data.
MerchantSpring integrates with Amazon Advertising to retrieve campaign performance data, including metrics such as spend, impressions, clicks, and attributed sales.
If the advertising connection becomes disconnected or credentials expire, campaign data may stop updating until the integration is reconnected.
Reconnecting the advertising account restores MerchantSpring’s ability to retrieve campaign metrics.
When Advertising Reconnection Is Needed
You may need to reconnect advertising if:
- Campaign metrics stop updating
- Advertising dashboards show outdated data
- The connection status shows Disconnected
- Amazon permissions have changed
Steps to Reconnect Advertising Data
- Navigate to Settings → Channels
- Locate the Amazon account connected to advertising
- Select Reconnect Advertising
- Log into Amazon Advertising when prompted
- Authorize MerchantSpring to access advertising data
- Confirm the requested permissions
Once completed, MerchantSpring will resume syncing advertising data.
What Happens After Reconnection
After the connection is restored:
- Advertising data will begin syncing again
- Recent campaign metrics will be retrieved
- Historical reporting will remain unchanged
Advertising metrics may take several hours to refresh depending on Amazon API availability.
Notes:
- Advertising connections may expire separately from sales integrations.
- Advertising metrics may have reporting delays of up to 24 hours.
- Some campaign data may update gradually as Amazon publishes new metrics.
