How to create an additional log in for your team or client
At this stage, to ensure compliance and maintain security, we need to follow a formal process that includes submitting a request and obtaining approval. This helps us keep an accurate record of who has access and what resources they’re using.
To request an additional seat, you can either email us at support@merchantspring.io or chat with us within your MerchantSpring account. Please include the email address for the new login and specify which channel(s) you’d like to connect to the account.
Once we've created the account, we will share the credentials with you, so you can share them with your team/client.
There are 3 seat types:
1. Admin
- Team seat
- Has the same access as the master account
- Any channel the master account adds/deletes will be automatically added/deleted from an admin
- Can view the subscription information (billing)
- Gets automatic reminders if renewal fails
2. Internal
- Team seat
- Has limited channel access - We will connect the channels on our end
- Hidden billing
3. Client
- External seat
- Has limited channel access - We will connect the channels on our end
- No Reporting feature access
- No notifications
- Hidden billing
For client seats, you can also opt to:
a. Hide the "Add Channel" button
b. Block store actions (e.g., edit channel names and remove channels)
c. Hide the Help Center link
d. Hide the Release Notes and MS Academy links
