How to edit an existing user

Learn how to edit an existing user in your MerchantSpring account, including updating their role, name, or channel access.

Need to make changes to an existing user’s access or role? You can easily edit a user’s details directly within your account settings. This guide will show you how to update user information such as role type, assigned channels, and display name — all in just a few clicks.

1. Click on your user profile in the top right corner

2. Click on My Account

3. Click on Seats

4. Locate the user you are looking to edit

5. Click on the options button (...) for that user

6. Click on Edit User

7. Make the relevant changes to the Role/Name/Channels for this user

Please note: you are unable to edit the email address associated with a user.

8. Click on Update User

These changes will take effect immediately, and will be live on the users account next time they login.

Click on Update User
