Who can create shared tags in MerchantSpring?

Only Admin and Owners roles can create shared tags in MerchantSpring. 

Why is this restricted?

Shared tags are organisation-wide resources, meaning they:

• Are visible and usable across all users
• Impact reporting and workflows
• Need to remain consistent and well-managed

To maintain control and prevent duplication or misconfiguration, only Admins and Owners have permission to create them.

What about internal users?

Internal users can:

• Use existing shared tags
• Apply tags within reports and workflows

However, they cannot create new shared tags.

What should I do if I need a new tag?

If you need a shared tag created, reach out to an Admin or Account Owner in your organisation.
