Why aren’t some inactive ASINs showing in the Suppressed Products report?
Learn why inactive ASINs due to compliance or account health issues may not appear in the Suppressed Products report in MerchantSpring.
If an ASIN is inactive due to account health or policy compliance issues, it may not appear in the Suppressed Products report in MerchantSpring. This is expected behaviour and is due to how Amazon classifies listing states.
Understanding the Difference: Suppressed vs Inactive Listings
Amazon distinguishes between two types of listing issues:
Suppressed Listings
- Listings that are still active but hidden from search results
- Typically caused by missing information (e.g. images, attributes)
- These are included in the Suppressed Products report
Inactive Listings (Compliance / Account Health)
- Listings that are fully deactivated or removed
- Caused by:
- Policy compliance violations
- Account health issues
- These listings are not included in the Suppressed Products report
Why These ASINs Don’t Appear
MerchantSpring’s Suppressed Products report is built using Amazon’s definition of suppressed listings only.
For inactive ASINs:
- Amazon does not provide the same structured status data or reporting signals
- These listings are often removed entirely from the catalog
- As a result, they cannot currently be surfaced in the same way within MerchantSpring
Is There a Downloadable Report for These ASINs?
At this time:
- There is no dedicated downloadable report in MerchantSpring for ASINs that are inactive due to compliance or account health issues
- Visibility into these listings is limited by the data Amazon provides
What This Means for You
Even though:
- Suppressed = partially visible issue
- Inactive = fully removed listing
From a business perspective, both represent non-sellable products, but they are handled differently in reporting.
Notes

- Always confirm listing status directly in Amazon Seller Central for compliance-related issues
- Suppressed Products reports will not include fully inactive listings
- Differences are driven by Amazon data availability, not a reporting error
