Why is product-level profit higher than channel-level profit?
Product and channel profitability use different expense scopes, so their totals are not expected to match.
The product view includes revenue and costs MerchantSpring can reliably attribute to a specific product, such as product COGS and certain product-attributable advertising costs.
Channel-level profitabilityThe channel view includes the product-level items plus costs that cannot be defensibly allocated to individual products. Examples can include storage fees, account subscription fees and some brand-level advertising spend.
Which figure should I use?Use product-level profit to compare and prioritise SKUs. Use channel-level profit when you need the most complete view of account profitability.

Important: Do not add product profit totals and assume they reproduce the complete channel P&L.
